TOPICS:  Must be Science or Social Studies topics.
Topics due:  Monday, October 29, 2007
Topic Sentence/Thesis Statement: The main focus of your report and due October, 31, 2007.

Note cards: Two types of note cards:

• Bibliography and numbered
• Notes from source, put number to match bibliography
• Need at least 8 sources and 7 note cards each.  (total of 56 notes)

Bibliography: Please follow the MLA format, use the school form that can be found here.   Your sources should be broken down as:

• No more than 3 web-sites
• As many references books, on-line journals, and print publications as necessary

Bibliography Note cards Due Dates: First 5—Nov. 7^th, last three due—Nov. 13^th

Outline of entire paper due by Nov. 29^th

All 56 note cards are due Dec. 3^rd, please use proper format, make sure that all note cards are sorted by number and organized in either a plastic container or on a metal ring

 RESEARCH PAPER:

• Must be typed in Times New Roman size 12 font and double-spaced
• Must be 12-16 pages in length
• Cannot be in first person
• Cannot use contractions
• ROUGH DRAFT DUE: December 10^th

Rough draft returned to you by December 21^st.

Summary Sheet: On this sheet will be your plan for your 3-D and your poster.  As well as a brief outline of your 3-5 minute oral presentation.  This is due December 20^th.

Final Draft of Research Paper: All edits and suggestions by advisors should be included and this is due:  January 4^th.

Speeches due in class Jan. 14^th-18^th.  There will be an in-class sign up.

Posters: Standardized size poster boards.  It should be a visual outline of your topic.  This will be due in class on Jan. 14^th.

The 3D is due the day of Culturama Judges Jan. 29^th.
