6th Annual Legacy Gala - Thank You

Thank you to all who participated in our St. Mary’s School 6th Annual Legacy Gala. This year we had 37% parent participation in our Gala – either by attendance or sponsorship, for this major fundraiser for SMS.

A huge thank you to Eileen Mulligan, who played the harp during cocktail hour, and Peter Jaquith who took professional photos during the night.

Thank You also to 7th graders, Patrick, Maggie, William, and Mia, with guidance from Technology Director, Mrs. Gail O’Donnell, for a terrific PowerPoint presentation.

Our guests were delighted to honor the Legacy of Sisters of St. Mary’s School, and gave a standing ovation to Sr. Marie, and the many Sisters of Notre Dame who attended. Bishop Fenwick Principal, Sr. Cathy Fleming, spoke of the importance of Catholic education as she presented Vy Nguyen, SMS Class of ’03 and Fenwick Valedictorian, with her award. Vy credits her success in part to the superior education received here at St. Mary’s School. Marguerite & John Condon humbly received their Legacy award from their daughter who spoke of their faith and service to the parish. Lastly, SMS Alum parents, Bob & Maureen Hilfinger presented the St. Mary’s Legacy Award to Sheree & Larry DeLorenzo, who entertained the audience with hilarious stories. What a night!

Many, many thanks to the hard-working Development Committee of Deb Comeau, Linda Fortini, Joan Gallagher, Lyne McAuliffe, Paula Pobiedzinski, and Paul Speidel for a job well done..
