Room Moms - need Room Moms for next year.  Please start asking to see if you can find your replacements for next year.  4th-8th Grade only need one parent, unless there are two who are interested.

 

Next Year Grade 8 Room Mom(s) - Vange thought it would be a good idea for next year's Grade 8 Room Mom to shadow Vange Egizi and Robin Harvey for the work to be done for Grade 8.  There is individual fundraising for their events, graduation events, etc.   

 

We already have K for next year - Kim Dunham and Rosamond Martin

I think Tara Kelsey signed up for Grade 2 - I'll confirm.

 

Special Persons' Day May 3, 2010  - The New England Percussion Ensemble will be performing at our school for this event.  Mr. Cushman has offered for the school to fund the refreshments.  Jane Powers is going to handle the refreshments.  Grade 3 (Laurie Curtin and Eileen Mulligan) and Grade 5 (Therese Collins), if you can help set up and clean up on that day, that would be very helpful.  If anyone is available, come by in the morning to help.

 

Kindergarten Graduation - Tara Nally and Julie Archibald are all set with this event.

 

Kindergarten Orientation - Mr. Cushman will get back to us on when this will be and how it will work out.   Tara Kelsey and Carol Shroter will handle this event. 

 

 

 

Teacher Appreciation

    Grade 4 is hosting Teacher Appreciation Breakfast this Tuesday, April 13th.

 

    Grade 6 will host a lunch for Teacher Appreciation on May 4th.

   

    First week in May is Teacher Appreciation.  We would like to do something each day.  This does not need to be food and I think between Special Persons' Day and Grade 6 lunch we have enough food for that week.  Can anyone think of something else we can do?  Flowers, have the kids make something, write something??

 

 

We discussed other fundraising events that we could have to have greater attendance.  There were many great ideas.  We know, but we need to make sure all families know, that the Auction and the Gala are our two major fundraisers and they are part of our operating budget.  The funds raised from these events are not additional funds. 

 

 

SCRIPS - please take a look at this program.  It is an easy way to raise funds for our school.  Julie Archibald is our coordinator and can answer any questions.  If you need help getting started, just ask - once you are set up, it is easier, yes easier, than internet shopping (less clicks)!!
